Reviews

'...the most complete and indispensable book of its kind. No stable should be without a copy'

Lissa Oliver, The Irish Field, 6 Feb 2010

‘The Horse Professional Guide To Colic provides accessible, informative advice to the horse owner on the often confusing and misunderstood subject of colic. It is full of useful information for anyone who wants to better understand colic and how to deal with it.’

Marcus Swail BVMS MRCVS, Irish Showjumping Team Vet

'It's extremely up to date and is full of highly relevant and invaluable information for both student veterinary nurses, and those in practice, who are looking to improve their skills in the area of equine colic.  The clear layout and excellent illustrations make it an enjoyable, as well as a highly informative, read.  It will be very beneficial to veterinary nurses who want to improve their knowledge of the acute equine abdomen and optimise their patient care.  Colic surgery epitomises the dedicated and highly skilled team approach required of the veterinary practitioners and nurses who assess, stabilise, anaesthetise, operate on and intensively nurse these patients in order to restore them to health.  I will be recommending this book to all my students, and I hope that many others also will learn from it, to the benefit of horses everywhere.'

Karen Dunne, CertEM(Stud Med), MVB.  Veterinary Nursing Lecturer, Department of Applied Sciences, Dundalk Institute of Technology.
